12-mile Natural Gas Pipeline

Patriot Pipeline

S&ME completed natural resource services for waters of the U.S., including wetlands delineations, protected species literature and field reviews, including coordination of a freshwater mussel survey and an archaeological survey, and completion of an application for a Nationwide Permit (NWP) No. 12 for impacts to waters of the U.S. on this approximate 12-mile natural gas pipeline project.

S&ME’s services also included coordination with various state and federal agencies including the State Historic Preservation Office, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).  Additionally, S&ME performed literature and field reviews for the presence of jurisdictional waters of the U.S. and protected species.  By walking the entire alignment, we suggested alterations to the original alignment that minimized or avoided impacts to jurisdictional waters of the U.S., protected species, and archaeological features.  S&ME’s solid reputation with the USACE resulted in issuance of a NWP No. 12 well within the limited time constraints for this important project.
