Windsor Chavis Nocho Community Complex
The Windsor Chavis Nocho Community Complex in Greensboro, NC, is a transformative $70 million project combining a recreation center, library, and park into a unified community hub. Set to open in 2027, the 65,000-square-foot facility will feature an indoor aquatics area with a lazy river, water slide, and lap pool; a gymnasium; a walking track; weight and fitness rooms; a teaching kitchen; and dedicated spaces for children, teens, and seniors. Adjacent Nocho Park will undergo renovations, including a new multipurpose field, covered basketball pavilion, amphitheater, and nature play area. The complex will also offer access to essential services such as Medicaid, food and nutrition services, and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) programs, in collaboration with Guilford County departments.
Our team was recently awarded Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection services. S&ME is proud to be a part of this project that aims to enhance health, wellness, and social interaction in an underserved area, serving as a catalyst for community revitalization.
