Triad Business Journal Names S&ME #5 of the Region’s Largest Engineering Firms and #7 of the Largest Environmental Firms

We’re proud to share that we’ve been ranked #5 among the Triad Region’s Largest Engineering Firms by the Triad Business Journal—a significant jump from our #10 spot in 2024. We’re also honored to be listed as the #7 Largest Environmental Firm in the region.
Our Greensboro, NC office was established in 1974 as our second location after our Raleigh headquarters and has grown to include over 70 talented professionals. This team includes engineers, scientists, and technicians who provide a wide array of services, including geotechnical engineering, construction services, coatings, pavement, construction engineering and inspection (CEI), environmental, non-destructive metals testing, and industrial hygiene services. To support these functions, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) accredited Greensboro laboratory provides testing of soils, concrete, grout, and asphalt.
Our Greensboro office plays a key role in serving both public and private sector clients throughout central North Carolina and Virginia. We support a broad range of industries, including industrial, retail, education, healthcare, energy, and transportation. We’re especially proud of our dedicated and expanding team committed to delivering high-quality service across the Triad and beyond.
