As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Rachel has a lead role in managing the company’s financial activities. The CFO is a strategic partner to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors to develop, monitor, and measure performance targets by being involved in strategic planning, business planning, forecasting finances, stock repurchase obligations, and financial process changes. Rachel provides leadership in developing and evaluating short- and long-term strategic financial objectives while aligning them with the overall growth strategy of the business.
Prior to joining S&ME in 2020, Rachel worked as a leader in financial planning and analysis at a local title insurance agency, controller of two large biopharmaceutical companies, and Senior Audit Associate with one of the big five accounting firms out of college. She is a North Carolina native and holds a Master of Accounting from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Accounting from Campbell University.
