Chris Stahl has over 30 years of experience and serves as Vice President and Energy Market Sector Director providing leadership and strategic direction. Chris is based in Charlotte, NC, where in his previous role, he was the Area Manager of Energy’s Southeast involved in a variety of civil and geo-environmental design projects. His expertise is wide-ranging and includes designs for the oil and gas, power, transmission, water resources/dams, mining and waste management markets. His team provides management, planning, permitting, engineering, construction quality assurance, and construction administration for various energy, industrial, and local, county and state government clients. Chris has been awarded six engineering excellence awards by the American Council of Engineering Companies for his projects related to environmental and water resources.
Chris is a Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. He joined the company in 1997 and held a department manager role for 10 years. Following a 9-year term as a vice president with another firm, Chris returned to S&ME where he is now developing our clients and services in the energy business segment. He has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
