The Board of Directors named Greg Canivan a Technical Principal in 2016. His primary responsibilities are to assist in the development and evaluation of engineering practices and policies, research development to enhance S&ME’s technical capabilities, and transfer knowledge gained through experience to the Geotechnical and Construction Business Units.
During his 20+ years of service, Greg has grown to national recognition in deep foundation design, testing, and instrumentation and is a sought after resource for foundation and soft-ground engineering guidance. He is active in leadership roles and participates on committees and advisory groups within various engineering and construction organizations. He is coauthor of peer-reviewed technical papers, and organizes and makes presentations at technical seminars as a resource to the geotechnical community at large.
A graduate of Clemson University in 1993, Greg is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina. He has spent his career providing technical consultation and management to S&ME’s clients on uniquely complex projects.
