Eric Shaffer Named S&ME Raleigh Office Principal

We are pleased to announce that Eric Shaffer, PE, has been named Raleigh Office Principal.
Eric joined S&ME in 2004, and throughout his 20+ year career, he has made significant contributions to projects in the life sciences, multi-family, and retail industries. Known for his exceptional ability to manage complex projects and his approachable, client-first mindset, Eric has become a trusted partner to clients and colleagues alike.
Eric shares, “I am excited to take on the role of Office Principal for Raleigh. Raleigh is our Headquarters location and where we first planted our S&ME roots in 1973. Together, we have created a solid foundation for ourselves in the market, and I look forward to working with our talented team to deliver impactful projects that will continue to build off the legacy we’ve created.”
Some of the notable projects Eric has managed include the Novo Nordisk DAPI (2019 ACEC-NC Grand Conceptor Award), the Cardinal at North Hills Senior Living Facility, Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, and Eli Lily’s BTS RTP Campus, among many others.

As the new Office Principal, Eric will join the Regional Management Team and will play a vital role focused on optimizing Raleigh’s overall performance while fostering employee growth and development.
