George Huddleston leads S&ME’s Healthcare practice within the Planning + Design Business Unit. His primary responsibilities are client service, operational management, and staff mentorship. He joined the firm’s Nashville office in 2008 and relocated to Orlando in 2011. Having managed healthcare projects for the majority of his career, George has become a trusted advisor to many clients, helping to see their vision from concept through construction. George is passionate about designing environments that enhance the quality of the healthcare experience, leveraging the firm’s interdisciplinary approach of planning, engineering, and landscape architecture.
Beyond technical responsibilities, George is also passionate about fostering a collaborative, engaging, and inclusive culture at S&ME. He takes great pride in a team that functions more like a family, working hard for one another and pulling towards a common goal. George actively mentors young professionals and finds great fulfillment in helping them to mature and advance their career.
George received his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from Rollins College. He is a registered Professional Engineer in numerous states throughout the country and is also a LEED Accredited Professional. In his spare time you will likely find George with his family enjoying time outside or hopelessly cheering on Vanderbilt athletics (Anchor Down!).
