Beth Meek is the Geotechnical Area Manager for S&ME’s Northern Region offices (OH, KY, IN, WV), a Principal Engineer, and a Senior Reviewer. She joined S&ME in 2011 and has over 25 years of experience in the consulting engineering business.  Her experience includes providing geotechnical services for the shale gas industry, commercial and industrial markets, public water and wastewater facilities, and public transportation roadways and structures. Her primary responsibilities are operational management, staff mentoring, and client service and development. Beth is passionate about continually improving the project management process and client/team communication, while growing future engineers.

Through Beth’s participation in both the Ohio State University’s and Women Transportation Seminar (WTS) mentoring programs, she has had an influential impact on young women pursuing civil engineering in college and those entering the Central Ohio engineering community. Beth has also served on past local boards and committees for ASCE and WTS.

A graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in geotechnical, Beth is a registered professional engineer in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Michigan. When she is not at the office, Beth enjoys cycling, listening to music, riding motorcycles, and hiking.
