S&ME, Inc., an engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking a full-time geotechnical Staff Professional for our Augusta, Georgia location.
Position responsibilities will include assisting project and senior staff members with completion of geotechnical explorations and construction materials testing / Special Inspection projects. Specific duties may include coordination of field explorations, boring layout, test pit observations, foundation evaluations, subgrade evaluations, field logging of soil and rock samples, performing engineering calculations, preparation of proposals and reports, progressive project and client management, invoicing and budget tracking, business development, and support of other coworkers in similar tasks. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, and possess the ability to work as a team player.
Qualifications:
- BS in civil/geotechnical engineering required, MS preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) registration preferred
This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company’s Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
