AIR QUALITY / CLEAN AIR ACT REQUIREMENTS
S&ME's air quality personnel are experienced in regulatory analysis and the implementation of federal and state guidelines and can perform the following services.

inventories. We can perform inventories for many types of industries,
(including textile, chemical, incineration, grain and feed, pulp and paper,
furniture and coating, automotive parts).
Regulatory Compliance Strategies that are cost-effective and meet State
Implementation Plan requirements, including air toxic pollutant ambient
standards. Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) increments,
NAAQS, NESHAP and NSPS. Our experience in ambient dispersion modeling
can be helpful in determining compliance strategies.
Permitting applications for state construction and operation, Title V operation and PSD permits. We can develop strategies for compliance in preparing applications. We are experienced in the aspects of permitting, including determination of emissions, evaluation of regulatory requirements, determination of loss of ambient impacts and negotiations with regulators.
Risk Management Plans as required by Title III Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act. For those affected facilities, S&ME can assist in determining status as a Tier I, II or III facility and developing a Risk Management Plan (RMP) for the specific air toxins regulated by Section 112r.
