Serving clients with engineering and testing of construction materials.

S&ME’s range of materials engineering and construction testing and observation services uses AASHTO accredited in-house laboratories.

The general format of S&ME, Inc.’s Quality Systems Manual follows the criteria for quality assurance outlined in the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) R18 Standard Recommended Practice for Establishing and Implementing a Quality System for Construction Materials Testing Laboratories. These construction materials include soil, concrete and asphalt.

S&ME, Inc. has also implemented a quality assurance program based on the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR 50, Appendix B) at our materials testing laboratory in Knoxville, TN.

S&ME performed construction materials testing for the Waupaca Foundry plant in Etowah, Tennessee and the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
