Austin-Tindall Park

S&ME provided master planning, landscape architectural design, wayfinding and transportation design for Osceola County’s 115-acre Austin Tindall Park expansion. The park hosts competitive soccer, lacrosse and football tournaments for collegiate, high school and league teams from across the nation. The master plan introduces a ring road for the facility that allows for distributed parking and an uninterrupted pedestrian zone. Within the central recreational core, an existing tree-lined creek serves as a respite and picnic area for teams and spectators. The expansion includes three new fields, one FIFA field and a FIFA stadium. The project also includes a centralized restroom/concession building, picnic pavilions and a wayfinding system. The wayfinding system is comprehensive and connected, facilitating ease of movement for guests from the entrances to ticketing to the fields. Our work also encompasses field markers, entrances and stadium signage.
