Geotechnical Staff Professional

S&ME, Inc., an engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking a full-time, experienced, Geotechnical Staff Professional to be based in Richmond, VA. Candidate must possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work as a team player. Responsibilities include coordinating and performing field activities such as soil test borings, CPT soundings and test pits; coordinating drilling efforts; site reconnaissance; logging geotechnical soil and rock samples; evaluating and interpreting laboratory test data; drafting of subsurface exploration reports; and preparing geotechnical engineering proposals.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering required, MS preferred
- EIT registration
- 2+ years of relevant experience
This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company’s Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
