PAVEMENT ENGINEER

Our Columbia branch is seeking an engineer experienced in the area of asphalt and concrete pavements. Required qualifications include:

• A masters degree in a related field
• 15+ years relevant experience in design of new and rehabilitated pavement sections
• Professional Engineer registration or the ability to obtain PE in South Carolina in one year
• Valid drivers license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) per S&ME Fleet Management Program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for development of a service line based in the Columbia office of S&ME, specializing in design of new pavement sections and the rehabilitation of existing sections. This will require the individual to have strong speaking skills as well as the ability to put together presentations and training sessions for both clients and S&ME’s employees.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Only qualified candidates with acceptable employment eligibility verification (I-9) will be considered.
