FIELD TESTING TECHNICIANS

The Charlotte and Mooresville, North Carolina offices of S&ME are seeking up to 8 field oriented construction materials testing and field exploration/drilling technicians. These persons will be responsible for testing of soil, concrete, stone base, pavements, masonry, and structural steel on construction sites. Experience in materials testing and certifications from ICC, ACI, NICET and AWS are preferred. A two year technical degree is also preferred but not required. For field exploration/drilling candidates, a commercial drivers license is preferred.

We will train employees without work experience but prefer that candidates have at least some construction related work history. Inexperienced candidates will be hired as a temporary employee initially and converted to permanent employee status upon an initial review period of time.

Qualified candidates should have basic math and writing skills, strong work ethics, and the ability to work as a team player. A company truck, Nextel, and safety equipment will be provided at our office.
