Project Highlights

S&ME performed construction material engineering and testing services for the renovation of the existing City Hall building and constructing of the new 2-story building addition in Albemarle, North Carolina.  The site is located on North Second Street in Albemarle, North Carolina.  The existing building is a 2-story brick building with a basement.  The new structure will total approximately 37,381 square feet with a 1,496 square foot basement/crawlspace.  S&ME’s services for this project included testing and observation of structural fill placement, reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel and reinforcing steel, and asphalt.
