At S&ME, we’ve long been known for our understated, down-to-earth approach. So it was actually very easy to find employees who personify these traits. The difficult part was choosing only four of them (out of 850).

But we’re pleased for you to meet Larry Armstrong, Liz Porter, Arthur Allen and Angela Musselwhite. Professionals, all. But each brings a unique personality and perspective to work everyday (as any one who works with them will attest).

Larry Armstrong, P.E.
A senior engineer/project manager in our Spartanburg, South Carolina office, Larry has been part of the S&ME family since 1986. Larry has lent his expertise and insights to projects throughout North and South Carolina as a foundation and geotechnical engineer. He was recently named an S&ME vice president.

Liz Porter, P.G.
As a professional geologist, Liz oversees a range of projects involving wetlands, stream restoration, brownfields development and other sensitive environmental areas. Liz joined S&ME’s Knoxville, Tennessee office in 1993.

Arthur Allen
Arthur joined the S&ME family in 1983. As senior technician and construction inspector Arthur supervises a team of technicians in evaluating the integrity of materials such as concrete, asphalt and steel, as well as conducting soil evaluation. Based in our Raleigh office, Arthur is currently working in Raleigh on the RBC Centura Headquarters building.

Angela Musselwhite, P.E.
Angela has spent her career with S&ME, joining the company in 1984. As geotechnical services manager in our Charleston, South Carolina office Angela is responsible for the supervision, planning and evaluation of subsurface conditions at construction sites such as hospitals, residential developments, bridges and highways.
