S&ME adds award-winning engineer in Greensboro
For immediate release

Greensboro, NC – Kasey McWhorter, P.E. has recently joined the Greensboro office of S&ME, Inc, an engineering and environmental firm with 21 offices in the Southeast.
 
McWorter has transferred from S&ME’s Charleston, South Carolina branch where she gained eight years of geotechnical engineering experience. She has supervised design and testing programs for a broad variety of terrain sites for commercial, residential, manufacturing, utilities and institutional projects.
 
Three projects managed by McWhorter have won coveted Engineering Excellence Awards from the South Carolina chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies. McWhorter was also appointed an S&ME Board certified senior reviewer after passing a rigorous certification procedure. All S&ME reports, proposals, design drawings, plans, letters and specifications containing technical conclusions or recommendations are reviewed by at least one senior reviewer.
 
McWhorter earned a BS in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University in 1994 and an MS in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Concentration, from North Carolina State University in 1996.
 
S&ME, founded in 1973, employees 700 professional and support staff in the Southeast and has provided engineering and environmental services for numerous major projects in the Triad.
